End Youth Homelessness turns young lives around
This week, End Youth Homelessness launched their latest brand awareness campaign, ‘Turn Lives Around’, with two new out-of-home executions by creative agency WCRS. We were proud to once again support the charity and spread the word across the UK with poster sites in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Sheffield and Bristol.
The clever use of photography on the posters, by acclaimed fashion and advertising photographer Dan Medhurst, presents homeless young people as a message of hope. The pictures are inverted giving our young people heroic poses, with their sleeping bags becoming superheroes’ capes billowing in flight. The message is positive and clear: despite incredibly difficult childhoods, homeless young people can build successful futures. The campaign aims to change the public’s perceptions of youth homelessness – everyone has the potential to beat the odds and turn their lives around, if they get the right help at the right time.
In the UK each year, 83,000 young people find themselves homeless. EYH is a UK wide movement, bringing together local charities to tackle youth homelessness on a national scale. The poster campaign coincides with End Youth Homelessness week, a national fundraising week aimed at increasing awareness and giving homeless young people hope for a brighter future.
