The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill turns 20 with Woolrich
It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since the incredible Grammy award-winning album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Genre-changing and no doubt one of the defining albums of the nineties, this year Ms. Hill was back on the road to celebrate with an anniversary tour – but also by branching out with her first ever fashion line. Teaming up with American clothing brand Woolrich on their AW18 collection, “American Soul Since 1830” not only features original designs from from the star, but she also appears in the advertising campaign. Simple and beautifully shot, the campaign was aptly captured in the Harlem theatre where she made the video for “Doo Wop (That Thing)” all the way back in 1998.
Working with Present Agency, we were excited to spread the word on the street with the legendary Lauryn Hill featuring on huge takeovers throughout London. Starting in Fashion Week and running through October for maximum impact, the creative popped up everywhere from Soho to Shoreditch.
