Partnering with D&AD Festival

We’re delighted to be an official partner for this year’s D&AD Festival. Held over three days at The Old Truman Brewery in the creative hub of Shoreditch, D&AD Festival is an immersive celebration of the best that the world of design and advertising has to offer. With exhibitions, talks, workshops, fringe events and parties, it’s the largest of its kind in the UK and attended by a global array of creatives all keen to learn from industry leaders and network with others in their field.

We were excited to spread the word on the street, working with D&AD and design agency Hato on the outdoor campaign for the Festival. The original and bold posters featured work created online by the public using Hato and D&AD’s 3D animation tool, and appeared at sites across the UK – everywhere from London to Bristol, Manchester to Edinburgh. In the spirit of collaboration, D&AD will also feature submitted designs and doodles as part of this year’s Festival look and feel. Find out more and get scribbling here.

This year’s event will address how Creativity Shapes Culture, with themes including creative purpose and owning the future. As part of our partnership with D&AD, artist Robert Montgomery will take to the stage to discuss his work with the medium of billboards, including his recent work on our Your Space or Mine project. Join us on The Microsoft Stage at 14.45 on Tuesday 24th April to hear Robert’s unique perspective on the power of the medium, including his critique of the language of outdoor advertising and how it can effect our emotions and reality, our politics and society for good and for bad.
